Before the inauguration of the Diocese of Kalyan, in Cumbala Hill the Syro-Malabar Catholics precence were there. Families were less, mainly nursers were there. In January 1990 this community was inaugurated. Parish members are mainly from 6 hospitals- Breach Candy, Jaslok, Bhatia, Parsei, St. Elizabeth and Cumbala Hill Heart Institute. (JNF Members). In every year the feast of St. Alphonsa & St. Sebastian celebrate in the month of January and Parish Day. At present Rev. Fr. Liju Keettickal is the parish priest.
