Even before “Diocese of Kalyan” was formed, under “Kerala Catholic Association (KCA)”, Masses used to be arranged for the Keralite Catholics of Wadala, Sewri & Cotton Green area at “Our Lady of Fatima Church” with the wholehearted support given by the dedicated priests.
The first executive committee of St. Antony Mass Centre (Sewri) was formed under Rev. Fr. Jose Thannippara as the parish priest, Mr. T. K. Johnson as the Convener & Mr. V. V. Thomas as the Treasurer.
Bishop Mar Paul Chittilappilly visited our parish on 24th February 1991 during the time when Rev. Fr. Honorius was serving as our parish priest. He evaluated the activities of our centre during his visit. We fondly remember all the priests who worked selflessly and devoted their time and energy for the religious activities of the centre like celebrating Patrons day, St. Sebastian’s day, All Souls Day at Sewri Cemetery etc. & for the spiritual development of the parishioners especially the youth. The present parish priest is Rev. Fr. Aneesh Thadathil.
