From 1970 onwards, the Qurbana centre at Andheri was looking after the spiritual needs of the migrant Syro-Malabar Catholics in and around Andheri West. After the establishment of the Diocese of Kalyan, for better administration, the centre was divided into two parishes. Accordingly the new parish named St. Sebastian’s Parish Amboli came into existence in Sepember 1988, covering the areas of Behrambaug, Mogra Village, Veera Desai Road, Ramesh Nagar, Lallubhai Park/Juhu Lane and Vaishali Nagar.
