St. Thomas Welfare Centre, Old Kurla dedicated to our patron, St. Thomas was institutionalized in 1988. Holy Cross Church, Kurla has been provided us structural support from the very inception of our Parish till date. However, they provided an apartment for our Parish Priests till 1999. Later, Parish Priests from Kalina and Jerimeri continued to serve our centre.
In 1999, under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Jacob Palakapilli we raised funds through various collections in order to buy a property so as to conduct services. In 2004, Rev. Fr. Benny Thanninilkumthadathil and the committee members with the assistance of the Diocesan Office came to conclusion with a 1080 sq. ft area on the second floor of Rockcell building suitable for our requirements for a Church. In 2005, when Rev. Fr. Babu Kakkasherry served our Parish, the registration was done. Thereafter, the place was blessed on 4th December by Mar Thomas Elavanal. But due to some legal issues the place could not function as a Church and so we still continue to conduct our services and activities in the classroom given to us by the Holy Cross Church.

Davis Tharakan, Asst. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Tomy Nelliyanni, Asst. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Franklin Pottanannikal, Rev. Fr. Mattew Kollamparambil, Rev. Fr. Benny Thonnikuzi, Rev. Fr. Siby Kulangara, Rev. Fr. Thomas Vazhayil gave their fruitful service for us.
Rev. Fr. Binu Painumkal is currently serving in our Parish. The Parish is divided into three Kudumba Units. The Parish also includes two associations i.e., Mathrusangham, Youth Group.
