It was Our Lady of Dolours church which stood as the supporting pillar in the earlier days for the Syro-Malabar Christian in order to meet their spiritual needs. It was a Latin parish, where the Syro- Malabar Christians came together to participate in the Holy Mass celebrated in English and in Hindi. The Syro-Malabar Christians were not so happy as there was no Syro-Malabar Qurbana. Thus mothers started conducting prayer services and prayer meetings in their own houses. They saw that the number of the participants in the prayer meeting is increasing day by day. They all had a wish, to have Syro-Malabar Qurbana. At first with this intension they approached Talwada FCC sisters and Fr. Biju Kottackal CMI and told their needs. With the help of Fr. Paul Kunduparambil, then parish priest of Nallosapara and Boisar, parisheners met Mar Thomas Elavanal the Bishop of Kalyan and Mar Thomas Dabre the Bishop of Vasai and had some discussions. As a result of the discussion Dolours church vicar Fr. Joe Demetto gave permission to offer Holy Qurbana one Sunday in a month. Thus the first solemn Syro-Malabar Qurbana in Malayalam was started on 9th Dec., 2007 in Dolours church. Then he gave permission to celebrate Qurbana on third Sunday of every month.
Fr. Biju Kottackal CMI was the first Parish Priest. In 2008 Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal visited us. After the transfer of Fr. Kottackal Fr. Paul Kunduparambil, Fr. Jaison Kollanur, Fr. Liju Keetickal and Fr. Siby Kulangara served our parish as Parish Priests. In 2012 a land was purchased with the help of Bishop. Every Sundays we have Malayalam Holy Qurbana. At present Fr. Nixon Pallan is the parish priest.
