In the year 1956 the priests from the Gloria Church used to visit different churches in Mumbai to take care of the Spiritual requirement of Syro-Malabar Catholics. Later CMI priests had been coming to celebrate Holy Qurbana and to meet spiritual requirements of the faithful in the initial years the Kerala Catholic Union (KCU) had been helping the Priests in the performance of the spiritual activities. Subsequently Capuchin Fathers took over the charge of the spiritual activities. In the meanwhile Kerala Catholic Union was renamed as Kerala Catholic Association. The accommodation for the priests was arranged at Kirol Church and also at Kalina. Syro-Malabar Qurbana in Malayalam used to be conducted on every Sunday at 10.00am. During this time Fr. Andrews and Fr. Peter Thomas came to Mumbai and stayed at Kurla Holy Cross Church. Fr. Jude D’souza came to Pantnagar and he established the Infant Jesus Church in the year 1975. Till this period the Holy Qurbana was conducted at the maidan on Sundays and at the residential flats on other days. Vicar General Fr. Paul Chitilappilly was appointed as Parish Priest of Pantnagar Centre in the year 1987. Immediately after formation of Kalyan Diocese, Fr. Casian CMI was appointed as the 1st priest incharge. From 1988 till today 19 priests have taken charge of our centre at different times. At the moment Fr. Kurian Kannamundayil is given the charge of Parish priest. There are two units in our centre viz. St. Joseph Unit and St. Mary’s unit. At present there are 21 families at this centre.
The priests who served us are Fr. Casian CMI, Fr. Thomas Alappat, Fr. Sebastian Nediyani VC, Fr. Antony Kolenchery, Fr. Joseph Vattakuzhy, Fr. James Kochayankal, Fr. Thomas Choondal, Fr. Thomas Thaikkoottathil, Fr. Zakarias Neelankavil, Fr. Paul Kaipranpadan, Fr. Xavier Kanat, Fr. George Kuttikkat, Fr. Mathew Kollamparambil, Fr. Sebastian Mudakalil, Fr. Vincent Kanimangalathukaran, Fr. Wilson Kannanaikkal, Fr. Biju Kollamkunnel, Fr. Paul Kunduparambil and Fr. Kurian Kannamundayil CMF.
At present Fr. Sibichan Kochuveetil is the Parish Priest.
