In 1990, after the birth of Kalyan Diocese, a chapel was made by purchasing and joining two rooms in sector 3. Hence, Airoli parish was formed with the name “St. Joseph Prarthanalayam” in this Greater Maharashtra. Airoli parish was one of the first parishes that constructed their own chapel for conducting the Qurbana in 1990. Rev. Fr. Thomas Kalapurakal served as the 2nd Parish Priest after Msgr. Thomas Thalachira from 1990 to 1993. The parish submitted a request for a church to CIDCO and it was granted, hence we have the present Church. The 3rd Parish Priest was Rev. Fr. Kurian Kunnumpuram; he served from 1993 to 1997. During this time all the paper work of the plot was completed. In 1993, the Sunday Qurbana which was conducted in the chapel was shifted to Prem Dan in Sector 18. From 1996, Friday Qurbana was started in the chapel in Sector 3. Rev. Fr. Paul Arakkal took charge as the 4th Parish Priest and he, by his initiative, did many modifications. Mathrusangam, Youth and 12 Family units were formed in the parish and extended its works.
On 1st February 1998 our Bishop Mar. Thomas Elavanal laid the foundation stone for the new church in Sector 10. Rev. Fr. Joju Arackal was the 5th Parish Priest from 2000 to 2004. During this period a play school was started at sector 3 chapel. Many fund raising programmes were continued for the construction of church. The church was blessed on 12th April 2003 by Mar Thomas Elavanal.
Rev. Fr. Cyriac Kumbatt was here as the 6th Parish Priest (2004-2005). Rev. Fr. Rajesh Mathew served as the 7th Parish Priest from 2005 to 2008 and he constructed a grotto and renovated the altar. Rev. Fr. Jose Aloor was the 8th Parish Priest. He served one year 2008 to 2009. Rev. Fr. Biju Kollamkunnel was the 9th Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. Martin Velliyamkandathil was Asst. Parish Priest for the period of 10 months. Rev. Fr. Sinto Chalissery was the 10th Parish Priest and at present Fr. Martin Kombara is serving as the parish priest. A directory was released in the year 2012 and the 10th year celebration of the church construction along with the declaration as a parish was on 17th March 2013.
