In the year 1986 the first Syro- Malabar Holy Qurbana at St. Anthony’s church Nagpada was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mathew. He was the Parish Priest for three Years. His Presence brought the migrant Syro-Malabar Catholics to attend the Holy Qurbana especially the nurses from different hospital of this area. As he got transferred we had Rev. Fr. George Vadakkethala who served the people and help the people grow in an accord.
As years passed by we had many Parish Priests Rev. Fr. John, Rev. Fr. Francis, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kumbalathanam . Rev. Fr Benny Ezhormattam Rev. Fr. Paul Kunduparambil, Rev. Fr Ashok Kollamkudy, are also served parish as our short term Parish priests. Fr. Ashok Kollamkudy was then replaced by Rev. Fr. Jaison Karrakunnel and he served us till June 2013. After which we had Fr. Joby Ayithamatathil as the Parish Priest. At present we have Rev. Fr. Bipin Chovattukunnel as the parish priest.
Mathrusangam, Youth, Pithruvedi, Catechism, Choir etc all are in better functioning. We remember the name of Congregation Chaplains like Fr. George Pulikottil, Fr. Joseph, Fr. Manikuzhikandam and Fr. Philip Loui with sincere thanks and gratitude.
In 2007 August 12th and 2012 July 08th His Excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal made pastoral visit to the Mumbai Central Parish.
